EASTON — A Yakima was injured Wednesday morning in a crash on Interstate 90 near Easton, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Bernard J. Stewart, 65, of Yakima, was driving a 1992 Toyota Corolla westbound on I-90 near milepost 67 when he attempted to merge into the left lane, lost control and struck a Jersey barrier and a semi truck.

Stewart was injured and transported to Snoqualmie Valley Hospital. The Toyota was totaled and towed by Snoqualmie Pass Towing, WSP said.

The Pennsylvania man driving the 2009 Peterbilt semi truck that was hit by the Toyota was uninjured. The truck was driven from the scene.
