PASCO, Wash. (AP) — A man has died after his tractor rolled, pinning him underneath the machine in a Franklin County field north of Pasco, Washington.

Jaime Alcaraz-Guizar, 53, was working in an orchard near Eltopia West Road when he lost control of his tractor Wednesday around 3:30 p.m., the Tri-City Herald reported.

Alcaraz-Guizar died before he could be found, Franklin County sheriff's officials said.

There won't be an autopsy, but a blood test is scheduled, Coroner Curtis McGary said.

Alcaraz-Guizar was an agricultural laborer who lived in the Tri-Cities for more than 20 years, authorities said.

“This sad situation is another reminder that our farming community makes great sacrifices to give us many of the conveniences we enjoy as a society and will likely be part of the backbone that gets us through these rough times,” the sheriff's department said in a statement.
