Kittcom received the following calls on Aug. 8-9 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

Two tires reportedly were slashed on a vehicle on West Second Avenue.

There was a report of a a vehicle traveling eastbound in the westbound lane of traffic on Thrall Road almost causing a head-on collision.

There was a report of a man in his 40s with an eight-inch long beard, a shaved head and carrying a backpack riding an elevator in a building on South Canyon Road.

There was a report of a card skimmer on an ATM on West First Street in Cle Elum.

There was a report of a card skimmer placed on an ATM on West University Way.

A Rottweiler reportedly was loose on No. 6 Road and Willis Road.

There was a report of a person beating a dog in a vehicle in a parking lot on West First Street in Cle Elum.

Mail reportedly was stolen on Watson Cutoff Road.

A person called with questions about aircraft flying low over a residence on Bullfrog Road and state Route 903.

A man reportedly accessed the roof of a building on North Pearl Street via its fire escape.

There was a report an irrigation pump had been shot at on Manastash Road.

A dog reportedly was locked inside a Ford Escape on Ruby Street. The windows were cracked open and the dog did not appear in distress.

A hit and run was reported on East Mountain View Avenue.

There was a report that a former employee returned to the business and told another employee he was going to “shoot up the place,” on South Canyon Road.

A large branch fell and reportedly was blocking the road on West Ninth Avenue and North Water Street.

There was a report of man drinking beer in a parking lot on South Main Street. He was told to him. The man threw his beer in the garbage, but the started rummaging in the garbage.

There was a report of people talking loud an urinating in the bushes on North Sprague Street.

Fire

Kittcom received the following calls on Aug. 8-9 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

Smoke reportedly was coming from the air vents of a black BMW convertible on North Pine Street.

A structure fire was reported on Takhoma Farm Lane.

Arrests

The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from Aug. 8-9 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

A 37-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for third-degree theft and second-degree possession of stolen property. No bail.

A 33-year-old Des Moines man was arrested by State Patrol troopers for attempt to elude, possession of a controlled substance and reckless driving. No bail.
