Police | Kittcom received the following calls on Aug. 7-8 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • A horse was reported on the roadway on Westside Road.
  • A woman reported that a mower was taken from her property and another mower that does not belong to her was placed on her property on Manastash Road.
  • A bicycle was reported stolen on West 14th Avenue.
  • A person on Craig Avenue reportedly was asking people passing by for money and soda.
  • A hay truck reportedly was broken down in the middle of Vantage Highway.
  • An injury eagle was reported on state Route 821, mile post 10.
  • A non-injury collision was reported on North Wildcat Way.
  • There was a report that horses had not been watered for four days on Elk Springs Road.
  • A wallet was reported stolen on South Canyon Road.
  • A kayak was reported upside down on the rocks in the Yakima River.
  • An assault was reported on state Route 903.
  • A burglary was reported on North Pennsylvania Avenue.
  • A shop door reportedly had been kicked in and tools were missing on McManamy Road.
  • A 24-pack of Modelo beer was reported stolen on North Ruby Street.
  • There was a report that construction crews were not directing traffic properly on North Wildcat Way and East University Way.
  • A black Angus cow was reported in the roadway on No. 6 Road.
  • A wallet was reported stolen in Ellensburg.
  • An injured hawk was reported on Busch Road.
  • A dog reportedly injured a skunk on First Street in Roslyn. The skunk was hobbling around a backyard.
  • There was a report of a loud pop and lights going off on West Sixth Avenue and Railroad Street.

Fire | Kittcom received the following calls on Aug. 7-8 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • A semi truck brake fire was reported on Interstate 82, mile post 3.
  • A fire was reported in a field off of Vantage Highway.

Arrests | The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from Aug. 7-8 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

  • No arrests were reported during this time period.
