n A dog reportedly had been whining since midnight on West 14th Avenue.

n There was a report of multiple vehicles speeding in Dry Creek Road area.

n Accessories to a bike were reported stolen on North Alder Street.

n There was a report of what looked like drill marks trying to take out washers and dryers on North Alder Street.

n A calf was reported on the side of the roadway on Tipton Road.

n A juvenile reportedly was riding a BMX bike in and out of traffic on West University Way and North Water Street.

n A felt baby blue patchwork women’s bicycle was reported stolen on North Walnut Street.

n There was a report that a child texted a family friend from a vehicle that she needed help because her mother was driving while intoxicated on Interstate 90 near Cle Elum.

n A man reportedly was standing outside an apartment smoking marijuana on North Airport Road.

n In an argument over a parking spot a man reportedly told the reporting party that “tonight was going to be his last” and that he was running from law enforcement for assaulting his wife and did not care if the man called the police.

n A 1980 Mercury Mountaineer reportedly was stolen on West 14th Avenue.

n Three cows were reported on the shoulder of the road on Fairview Road and Vantage Highway.

n There was a report of a man and woman yelling at each other while another man filmed them with his phone on Spokane Street and First Avenue in Kittitas.

n A lost Rottweiler reportedly has been wandering around a neighborhood on West Second Avenue and North Okanogan Street for the past several days.

n A man reportedly was yelling and making hand gestures as if shooting things in the sky near the Japanese Gardens and the SURC on the Central Washington University campus.

n A person reportedly left their shotgun in a guest rental on Sandstone Drive.

n There was a report of two students in the shadows smoking on North Chestnut Street.

n A GMC pickup reportedly was stolen on North Cora Street. The keys were in the vehicle and there was approximately a half-gallon of gas in the tank.

n Two campfires were reported at Lake Easton State Park.


The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from July 31-Aug. 1 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

n A 35-year-old Lakewood man was arrested by State Patrol troopers for failure to comply with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Bail $5,000.

n A 29-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Kittitas Police officers for displaying a dangerous weapon. Bail $1,000.
