Police | Kittcom received the following calls on July 6-8 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • The boxer dogs reportedly killed a wild rabbit on East Utah Avenue in Roslyn.
  • Prescription pills reportedly were stolen on Alder Street.
  • A three-vehicle collision was reported on West Third Avenue and North Main Street.
  • There was a report that a dog named Bernie set off an alarm on West 11th Avenue.
  • A non-injury collision was reported on Kittitas Highway and Fairview Road.
  • A man wearing camo reportedly was being assaulted by another man on Forest Service Road 4828.
  • A vehicle reportedly struck a mailbox and a post on Reecer Creek Road.
  • There was a report of a cocker spaniel looked in a vehicle on North Fourth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. The window was rolled down an inch. The dog tried to stick his nose through the window and seemed to flop on his back.
  • A woman reported a cat stuck in her vehicle engine on North Water Street and West Fifth Avenue.
  • A housecleaner reportedly did not clean the toilets twice in a row. There was an argument and an agreement that the housecleaning service be discontinued.
  • Hubcaps on a Volkswagen reportedly were stolen on West Washington Avenue.
  • A hit and run was reported on North Chestnut Street.
  • A purse reportedly was stolen on Bullfrog Road.
  • A bear reportedly was walking down the middle of the road on Cooke Canyon Road.
  • A non-injury collision was reported on Kachess Lake Road.
  • Large fireworks reportedly were being set off on Guye Peak Lane.
  • Two men reportedly were sleeping in a restroom on North Poplar Street.
  • A dog reportedly fell from a vehicle on Vantage Highway and Fox Road.
  • A collision was reported on I-90 east bound and South Canyon Road.
  • There was a report of possible animal abuse — a horse eating its own manure — on Westside Road.
  • There was a report of someone firing rifles on Reecer Creek.
  • An assault was reported on North Pearl Street.
  • A collision was reported on North Main Street and West University Way.
  • A white pickup reportedly drove over the sidewalk on North Main Street and West University Way.
  • Four cows reportedly were on the north side of Kittitas Highway.
  • There was a report of a motorhome caught in powerless on Mohar Road and Upper Peoh Point Road.
  • An illegal barricade was reported in the middle of East Cresto Road near Cle Elum.
  • A non-injury collision was reported on South Main Street.
  • A person reportedly was smoking a joint while driving in a vehicle on West 14th Avenue and North Water Street.
  • A Lab/shepherd mix walked into a garage on Courtney Court.
  • Firewood reportedly was stolen on North Thorp Highway.
  • There was a report of a customer in a store yelling at an employee to stop laughing at him and said if the employee didn’t put his phone away he’d regret it on First Street.
  • A passenger reportedly was in a vehicle with someone who was pulled over and arrested by the State Patrol on a warrant. The passenger was dropped off at a gas station, called dispatch to get a ride back to Seattle and asked if he needed to commit a crime to get a ride.

Fire | Kittcom received the following calls on July 6-8 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • An outside fire was reported on Interstate 82, mile post 6.
  • A small fire was reported on the side of the road on Bullfrog Road and Interstate 90 east bound.
  • A trash can fire was reported on South Canyon Road.
  • An outside fire, that appeared unattended, was reported on Vantage Highway.
  • A vehicle fire was reported on I-90 west bound, mile post 79.
  • There was a report of a campfire on a beach on Salmon la Sac Road.
  • A small grass fire was reported on Vantage Highway.
  • Two outside fires were reported on Alliance Road and state Route 903.
  • A smoke investigation was reported on state Route 97 and Passmore Road.
  • A brush fire was reported n the median on Instate 90, mile post 99.
  • A burning plastic odor was reported on the east side of a building on North Pearl Street.

Arrests | The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from July 6-8 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

  • A 61-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence. Released on personal recognizance.
  • A 58-year-old Ellensburg woman was arrested by Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputies for no contact/protection order violation. Released on personal recognizance.
  • A 20-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputies for failure to appear for third-degree driving with a suspended license. Bail $1,000.
  • A 26-year-old Goldendale man was arrested by State Patrol troopers for failure to appear for third-degree driving with a suspended license. Bail $5,000.
  • A 56-year-old University Place man was arrested by Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputies for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence. No bail.
  • A 43-year-old Ronald man was arrested by Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputies for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence. No bail.
  • A 48-year-old Cle Elum man was arrested by Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputies for failure to comply for possession/delivery heroin, not having a valid operator’s license and obstructing/resisting an officer. Bail $101,000.
  • A 56-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for failure to comply with pay or appear. Bail $19,480 or $250 cash.
  • A 48-year-old Seattle man was arrested by State Patrol troopers for driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first-degree driving with a suspended license and violation of occupant license registration. No bail.
