Police

Kittcom received the following calls on Oct. 29-30 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

n A prowler reportedly was caught going through a vehicle in a garage on C Street.

n A hit and run was reported on East 18th Avenue and North Walnut Street.

n There was a report of an ongoing problem with vehicles being driven at a high rate of speed on East Helena Avenue, particularly in the middle of the day and early evenings.

n There was a report that a variety of cows appeared to not being fed enough on Freedom Lane.

n A two-vehicle, non-injury collision was reported on North Pine Street.

n A 4-year-old boy reportedly was playing on the railroad tracks near North Oakes Street in Cle Elum. The father told the reporting party he felt it was fine to play there. The reporting party felt it was unsafe.

n The smell or marijuana was reported near the tennis courts on the Central Washington University campus.

n The smell of marijuana was reported in the hallway leading to the dumpster area on the first floor of a building on North Alder Street.

n The smell of marijuana was reported in the second floor alway on the north side of a building on East University Way.

n The side window of a Dodge Dakota canopy reportedly was broken on North Chestnut Street.

Fire

Kittcom received the following calls on Oct. 29-30 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

n A semi truck fire was reported on Interstate 90, mile post 90.

n A structure fire was reported on Lambert Road near Cle Elum.

Arrests

The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from Oct. 29-30 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

n A 24-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by State Patrol troopers for failure to appear for not having a valid operator’s license (bail $1,000) and a violation of the uniform controlled substances act (no bail).

n A 54-year-old Poulsbo man was arrested by State Patrol troopers for attempt to elude. No bail.

n A 35-year-old Ellensburg woman was arrested by Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputies for fourth degree assault/domestic violence. No bail.
