Police | Kittcom received the following calls on July 2-3 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

• A man reportedly was sitting cross legged approximately two feet from the edge of the road on the south side of East University and North Wildcat Way.

• Theft was reported on Lambert Road. An electrician arrived at the job site and found copper stolen/pulled from the walls.

• There was a report of malicious mischief on Berry Road. A semi truck struck a fence doing damage to the fence. The driver denied the truck did the damage.

• Theft was reported on North Walnut Street. Someone who is not a resident threw away letters in the dumpster.

• An animal problem with a pit bull was reported on Lambert Road.

• There was a report of fireworks on East 18th Avenue.

• Malicious mischief was reported on South Pearl Street. Someone tore down a sign the caller put up and smashed her flowers last night.

• Fireworks were reported on North Fifth Avenue. The caller advised there was visible smoking from the backyard from the fireworks. She advised the fire department was not needed.

Fire | Kittcom received the following calls on June 2-3 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

• An outside fire was reported on Cabin Creek Road. There was brush on fire in a couple of tree roots.

• A traumatic injury was reported on North Stafford Avenue.

• An outside fire was reported on Colfax Road.

• A brush fire was reported on Powerline Road and Summit View. There was a large amount of smoke.

• An outside fire was reported on Sasse Mountain.

• There was a report of a smoke investigation on Interstate 90, Exit 115 in the area of Ellensburg. The caller called from Tjossem Road and advised smoke was visible above the hay barns near the exit approximately two miles from the caller’s location.

• An outside fire was reported on Vantage Highway. There was a small fire between A and B lines.

Arrests | The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from July 2-3 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

• A 31-year-old Cle Elum man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for failure to appear in court for resisting arrest and obstruction of a public servant. Bail $30,000.

• A 36-year-old Wenatchee man was arrested by Washington State Patrol troopers for failure to appear in court for reckless driving. Bail $50,000.

• A 34-year-old Ellensburg woman was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for failure to appear in court for third-degree driving while license suspended and failure to appear in court for third-degree theft. Bail $12,500.

• A 25-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputies for second-degree domestic violence assault. No bail.

• A 30-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested for Ellensburg Police officers for motor vehicle theft and third-degree driving while license suspended. No bail.

• A 40-year-old South Cle Elum man was arrested by Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputies for fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest. No bail.
