  • Six to eight cattle reportedly were on the edge of the roadway on Reecer Creek Road.
  • A vehicle reportedly struck a deer on Thorp Prairie Road.
  • A person reported that the back passenger window of their rental vehicle, a 2019 Nissan Sentra, may have shattered due to the heat on North Airport Road.
  • A Dodge Ram pickup reportedly was struck in a parking lot on South Water Street.
  • Graffiti was reported on the south side of a building on South Main Street.
  • A city storage building reportedly was broken into in Cle Elum.
  • Someone reportedly attempted to steal food on North Ruby Street.
  • A purse was reported stolen on East Umptanum Road.
  • A cell phone was reported stolen on East 18th Avenue.
  • A bicycle was reported stolen on East Third Avenue.
  • A bicycle was reported stolen on North Pine Street.
  • A wire reportedly was broken and handing down on North Okanogan Street.
  • A truck reportedly was struck in a parking lot on South Water Street.
  • A black bear was reported outside a garage on Fir Grove Court near Cle Elum. The caller reported that the bear did not seem scared.

Fire | Kittcom received the following calls on June 26-27 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • A burn pile, unknown if attended, was reported on Thornton View Road.
  • Smoke reportedly was coming from a vehicle on West Dry Creek Road.

Arrests | The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from June 26-27 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

  • A 31-year-old Yakima man was arrested by Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputies for driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Bail $200,000.
  • A 32-year-old Selah man was arrested by State Patrol troopers for driving with under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Bail $200,000.
  • A 32-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for two counts of possession/delivery violation of the uniform controlled substances act. Bail $10,000.
  • A 26-year-old Newport woman was arrested by Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputies for two counts of possession of a controlled substance, reckless endangerment and unlawful possession of a legend drug. Bail $10,000.
