Police | Kittcom received the following calls on June 8-10 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • A non-injury collision involving a Jeep Wrangler and a Ford Taurus was reported on South Canyon Road.
  • A non-injury collision involving a Subaru and a Nissan Sentra was reported on North Water Street and West Ninth Avenue.
  • A dog was reportedly in a vehicle on East Mountain View Avenue for the past 20 minutes. The dog was panting.
  • A person reportedly was letting their car cool down and collecting rocks on Canyon Road and Thrall Road.
  • There was a report of target shooting off a Salmon la Sac Road.
  • A street light reportedly was out on South Anderson Street and East Cherry Lane.
  • An assault was reported on North Pearl Street.
  • Male subjects reportedly were trying to break into a building on West Fourth Avenue.
  • Two cattle reportedly were standing in a ditch next to West Bender Road.
  • A dog reportedly was sniffing a truck that had been parked for a few days on Sanders Road and North Alder Street, and that was not normal behavior for the dog.
  • An aggressive, black Chihuahua with a white muzzle reportedly was running loose on Canyon Road.
  • A hit and run was reported on North Alder Street.
  • Two dogs reportedly had been locked in a Ford Escape night and day for the past week on South Water Street.
  • A large brindle dog with a rope tied around it reportedly was running on East Mountain View Avenue.
  • A low hanging power line was reported on North Brook Lane and East 15th Avenue.
  • A hit and run was reported on West First Street.
  • A hit and run was reported on East Mountain View Avenue.
  • Ten to 12 cattle (pregnant Angus heifers with yellow ear tags) reportedly were tearing through fences and jumping fences on Stevens Road.
  • A calf was reported in the roadway on Rader Road.
  • A burglary was reported on North Wright Avenue.
  • A woman reported she was charged twice for filling her tank with gas and the station would not refund her.
  • A burglary was reported on North Yellowstone Street.
  • An assault was reported on West Rainier Avenue.
  • Lattice and honeysuckle reportedly were tore down on the backside of building on South Pearl Street.
  • A white dog with brown spots reportedly was loose on North Mason Street.
  • Four dogs reportedly were locked inside a pickup on North Fourth Street and West Pennsylvania. The windows were cracked and the dogs had chewed up the inside of the vehicle.
  • A group of teenagers reportedly was huddled down in an alley off of South Main Street.
  • An assault was reported on state Route 97.
  • Forty to 50 head of cattle reportedly were running through a residential area on Twin Lakes Road near Cle Elum.
  • There was a report of gunfire or fireworks on East Third Street in Cle Elum.

Fire | Kittcom received the following calls on June 8-10(calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • A planter box reportedly was on fire on East Railroad Street.
  • An outside fire was reported on Interstate 90, mile post 88.
  • A quarter-acre fire in a field was reported on Vantage Highway.
  • Trees and grass reportedly were on fire on West Taneum Road.
  • A garbage can reportedly was on fire on North Pennsylvania Avenue.
  • Smoke was reported on Prairie Lane near Cle Elum.
  • A structure fire was reported on North Alder Street.
  • There was a report of smoke on Coralbell Lane near the Washington State Horse Park.

Arrests | The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from June 8-10 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

  • A 39-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for probation violation for second-degree driving with a suspended license. Bail $2,100.
  • A 21-year-old Ellensburg woman was arrested by State Patrol troopers for driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Bail $5,000.
  • A 25-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for failure to appear for first-degree driving with a suspended license. Bail $15,000.
  • A 24-year-old Spokane woman was arrested by State Patrol troopers for driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No bail.
  • A 29-year-old Kittitas man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No bail.
  • A 48-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence. No bail.
  • A 32-year-old Bothell woman was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence. No bail.
  • A 25-year-old Tacoma man was arrested by Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputes for third-degree driving with a suspended license. Bail $500.
  • A 28-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for failure to appear for third-degree driving with a suspended license. Bail $1,000.
  • A 58-year-old Ellensburg woman was arrested by Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputies for violation order restricting contact. No bail.
