Police | Kittcom received the following calls on May 29-30 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • Several items reportedly were taken from a recreational vehicle on Main Street.
  • Garbage cans reportedly were stolen on Vanderbilt Road.
  • There was a report of two Labs in the bed of a truck on South Chestnut Street parked in direct sunlight. The dogs were barking.
  • A non-injury collision involving a minivan and a Ford Explorer was reported on North Airport Road and Sanders Road.
  • A non-injury collision involving a Toyota van was reported on North Chestnut Street.
  • A burglary was reported on North Walnut Street.
  • A hit and run was reported on West Fifth Avenue and North Main Street.
  • There was a report of a shirtless man running as if his life depended on it on Interstate 90, mile post 93.
  • An assault was reported on Brick Mill Road.
  • There was a report of a dog locked inside a Toyota Prius on North Walnut Street. The window was cracked open and the dog was barking.

Fire | Kittcom received the following calls on May 29-30 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • Two male subjects reportedly had a small outside fire on North Alder Street.

Arrests | The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from May 29-30 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

  • A 37-year-old Tacoma man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for obstructing a public servant, third-degree driving with a suspended license, hit and run and reckless driving ($3,500 bail), and felony elude (no bail).
  • A 31-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested for harassment and stalking. No bail.
