Police | Kittcom received the following calls on Nov. 7-8 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • A caller reported what sounded like six gunshots on South Maple Street that came from a few blocks north of the caller.
  • There was a report for extra patrols for ongoing speeding in the area on South Maple Street.
  • A bus driver reportedly struck a student’s car door on East Capitol Avenue.
  • There was a report of a deer walking towards Kiwanis Park.
  • A hit and run was reported on South Main Street.
  • A caller requested to speak to law enforcement on West Dolarway Road regarding the neighbors’ rabbits that are everywhere.
  • There was a report of a fuel spill on Interstate 82 westbound near milepost 6.5.

Fire | Kittcom received the following calls on Nov. 7-8 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • There was a report of a fire alarm on West Davis Street at a two-story hotel. The location of the fire alarm was unknown.

Arrests | Kittitas County Corrections received the following bookings on Nov. 7-8:

  • n 49-year-old Ellensburg woman was arrested by Washington State Patrol for failure to appear in court for driving under the influence. Bail $50,000.
