Police | Kittcom received the following calls on Nov. 4-5 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

A vehicle parked on North Walnut Street reportedly was struck by another vehicle.

  • A Remmington .22 bolt action rifle reportedly was stolen on Riverbottom Road.
  • A non-injury collision was reported on North Wildcat Way.
  • A deer reportedly was struck by a vehicle and killed on South Canyon Road.
  • A parking pass reportedly was stolen from a vehicle on East Helena Avenue.
  • A man in a beanie and a black sweatshirt reportedly was undoing and redoing his belt and zipper on Walnut Street. A second man in a black zip up was making eye contact with the first man. There was a concern they were staking out the area.
  • A black and white Chihuahua reportedly was loose on Broadway Avenue in South Cle Elum.
  • A man, who appeared to be inebriated, reportedly was holding a drink, walking into the roadway and not watching for vehicles on West University Way and North Main Street.
  • Fencing supplies reportedly were stolen within the past month and a half on Lower Green Canyon Road.
  • A non-injury collision was reported on North Main Street.
  • A maroon Saturn wagon reportedly struck a white flatbed pickup on East University Way.
  • A man reportedly was burying himself in a flower pot on North Pearl Street.
  • A woman reportedly returned to hear Peakview Drive residence and found the dog’s water had been spilt and the rug flipped over. Unknown if anything was taken other than a tax return paper.
  • A dead cat was reported in the roadway on Kittitas Highway.
  • A man reported hat all his and his girlfriend’s clothing were stolen on West Washington Avenue.
  • A woman reported that about two weeks at a 1 a.m. she was watching TV and saw out her window and man and woman who appear to be looking around the parking lot.
  • A man reportedly was carrying a white plastic bag, pacing back and forth and yelling “where are you?” on South Canyon Road.
  • A collision involving two semi trucks was reported on state Route 97 One of the parties involved was a trainee and he said his trainer said he would abandon him if he called he police.
  • A loud boom, thought to by dynamite, was reported on White Road and Airport Road in Cle Elum.
  • Four subjects reportedly were fighting on North Alder Street.
  • There was a report that a vehicle was in a ditch on Interstate 82, mile post 11 and that flames could be seen.
  • A dark colored horse was reported on the side of the road on Vantage Highway.

Fire | Kittcom received the following calls on Nov. 4-5 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • Multiple burn piles were reported at a construction site on Kachess Lake Road.
  • A semi reportedly was on fire on Badger Pocket Road.
  • A large amount of smoke was reported coming from a balcony or top floor apartment on West Fifth Avenue.
  • A large slash pile reportedly was burning on Westside Road. The fire was spreading to a group of trees.

Arrests | The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from Nov. 4-5 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

  • A 30-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for two counts of third-degree driving with a suspended license. Bail $200.
  • A 25-year-old Ellensburg woman was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for two counts of failure to appear for third-degree driving with a suspended license, and failure to appear for reckless driving. Bail $7,000.
