Police | Kittcom received the following calls on Nov. 2-4 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • Three horses were reported loose on Salmon la Sac Road.
  • A downed power line was reported on Rader Road and Naneum Road.
  • A bus reportedly clipped a parked car on 11th Avenue.
  • A cell phone was reported stolen on East Capitol Avenue.
  • The Hideakey to a residence was reported missing on West Capitol Avenue.
  • A group of males reportedly were standing around a garage on West Second Street in Roslyn and it sounded like they were drilling.
  • An injured doe was reported in a ditch o Manastash Road.
  • There was a report of three rapid gun shots on state Route 970.
  • A man wearing a ski mask reportedly was standing out the library on North Pennsylvania Avenue in Cle Elum.
  • Mail was reported stolen on Woods and Steel Road.
  • Cable lines reportedly were hanging low on Okanogan Street.
  • A vehicle reportedly hit a parked moped on North Airport Road.
  • A floor lamp reportedly was stolen from a hallway of a building on North Pennsylvania Avenue.
  • A vehicle driven by a man in his 60s missing teeth and wearing an army hat reportedly was traveling at a high rate of speed on Mountain View Avenue.
  • A red tractor trailer reportedly struck a Ford F150 on West University Way.
  • The sewer reportedly was backing up into the men’s restroom on East First Street in Cle Elum.
  • A non-injury collision was reported in a parking lot on North Walnut Street.
  • There was a report of a man with a can, possibly huffing, on South Chestnut Street.
  • There was a report of someone shooting a gun out the window of a pickup driving on Brick Mill Road and Naneum Road.
  • A Ford Focus reportedly drove over a curb and struck a sign on West Mountain View Avenue.
  • A large unattended bonfire was reported on East Helena Avenue.
  • A man reportedly was opening vehicle doors and going through the vehicles on East First Street.
  • An assault was reported on West Pennsylvania Avenue in Roslyn.
  • An injured buck was reported on East First Street.
  • There was a report of a dead deer in a ditch on Cooke Canyon Road.
  • A vehicle was reported stolen on state Route 10.
  • A woman reported she was bothered by the “beeping” sound from trucks involved with construction on West 14th Avenue and that she’d like to get some yard work done without hearing that noise.
  • A non-injury collision was reported on Shell Rock Road.
  • A small dog reportedly was running in and out of the roadway on East Third Avenue.
  • A woman reportedly was raking a huge pile of leaves into the roadway on North C Street.
  • An injured deer was reported in a corral on East Third Street in Cle Elum.
  • Someone reportedly poured oil over a vehicle on North Maci Court.
  • An elderly person reportedly was driving a Subaru at about 5 or 10 mph on South Main Street.
  • A woman reported hearing buzzing in the walls of a residence of West Fourth Street in Cle Elum, sounding like a swarm of bees. She was concerned it was an electrical problem.

Fire | Kittcom received the following calls on Nov. 2-4 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • A small brush fire was reported on Interstate 90, mile post 104.
  • Flames reportedly were coming out from under a pickup with a flatbed on I-90, mile post 122.
  • There was a report of someone burning leaves on Cleveland Avenue in South Cle Elum.
  • A vehicle fire was reported on Railroad Street and Cross Street in Easton. The fire was spreading to the grass.

Arrests | The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from Nov. 2-4 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

  • A 34-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for failure to comply with violating an order restricting contact and third-degree theft. Bail $25,000.
  • A 40-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for unlawful inhalation. Bail $500.
  • A 37-year-old Ellensburg woman was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence. No bail.
  • A 60-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputies for failure to appear for third-degree driving with a suspended license. Bail $5,000.
  • A 19-year-old Sunnyside man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for minor in consumption/possession alcohol, fourth-degree assault and third-degree theft. Bail $3,000.
  • A 41-year-old Lakewood man was arrested by State Patrol troopers for failure to appear for third-degree driving with as suspended license and failure to appear for operating a vehicle without proper certificate/registration. Bail $5,000.
  • A 21-year-old Seattle man was arrested by State Patrol troopers for second-degree driving with a suspended license. Bail $1,000.
