Police | Kittcom received the following calls on Nov. 20-21 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • A semi was reported in the ditch on Westside Road.
  • A fire hydrant reportedly was flooding water down the hill on West First Street in Cle Elum.
  • A student reported being stuck in an elevator on the second floor of the Language and Literature Building on the Central Washington University campus.
  • A German shepherd reportedly has been running loose in an alley on West Third Avenue and Main Street.
  • A collision was reported on state Route 903 in Ronald.
  • Items reportedly were stolen from a residence on state Route 970 near Cle Elum.
  • Five or six cows were reported in the roadway on Game Farm Road.
  • A stop sign was reported down on West Umptanum Road and Opportunity Way.
  • A package was reported stolen on East First Street.
  • A black cow was reported in the intersection of Wilson Creek Road and Thomas Road.
  • A bear reportedly was attempting to break into a basement on Denny Avenue in Cle Elum. The bear knocked over the security camera so it was no longer visible. The reporting party had locked herself in a bedroom.
  • There was a report that someone broke the window of a Toyota Corolla parked on North Ruby Street and stole a wallet and purse out of the vehicle.
  • A bear reportedly was in the crawl space of a residence on Domerie Bay Road in Ronald.

Fire | Kittcom received the following calls on Nov. 20-21 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • An outside fire was reported on Railroad Street in Easton.
  • A smoke investigation was reported on Tolman Road.
  • A smoke investigation was reported on Grant Avenue in South Cle Elum.
  • There was a report of an open burn, approximately six to seven feet in size with flames the height of a one story building on Lap Way in Easton. It was possibly a construction site.

Arrests | The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from Nov. 20-217 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

  • A 35-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Kittitas County Corrections officers for two counts of failure to comply with third-degree driving with a suspended license. Bail $30,000.
  • A 22-year-old Federal Way woman was arrested by Cle Elum-Roslyn-South Cle Elum Police officers for second-degree possession of stolen property, possession/delivery of heroin and possession/delivery of methamphetamine. No bail.
