Police | Kittcom received the following calls on Sept. 30-Oct. 1 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • Identity theft was reported on West Dry Creek Road.
  • Canned wine, snack foods, vitamins and other items were reported stolen on North Ruby Street.
  • There was a report of three men begging for gas money on East Sparks Road. There were three children in the vehicle without any carseats. One man had a facial tattoo.
  • A Chevy S10 was reported stolen on McDonald Road. There was a long-barrel .22 rifle in the vehicle.
  • An assault was reported on North Thorp Highway.
  • Two subjects — one male wearing a dark jacket, one female wearing a sweatshirt and grey leggings — reportedly were spraying painting on a sidewalk on Chestnut Mall on the Central Washington University campus.
  • Unknown subjects reportedly drove a golf cart over a bicycle between Dean Hall and the Science Building on the CWU campus.
  • A large sprayer truck reportedly was dropping foam on the roadway on Manastash Road and Umptanum Road.
  • A red Mustang reportedly was parked the wrong way in a cul-de-sac on College Place.
  • There was a report of a man holding a broken belt and asking for money at a hotel on South Canyon Road.
  • A person reportedly was in bed and could hear someone walking upstairs on Nelson Siding Road. The person said, “Who’s there?” and the subjects ran back down the stairs. The heater kept clicking on and off as if a window was open.
  • A man with long hair on the sides and bald on top reportedly screaming obscenities and “I’m going to slit your throat” on North Alder Street.

Fire | Kittcom received the following calls on Sept. 30-Oct. 1 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • An outside fire was reported on Badger Pocket Road.
  • A smoke investigation was reported on West Helena Avenue.
  • A vehicle fire was reported on Interstate 90, west bound, mile post 95.

Arrests | The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from Sept. 30-Oct. 1 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

  • No arrests were reported in this time period.
