Kittcom received the following calls on Oct. 17-18 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

An assault was reported on North Spokane Street in Kittitas.

A man in his 40s with red facial hair, wearing a dark beanie, a dark jacket and possibly carrying a Coors beer can reportedly was just staring at the cows, not doing much of anything, on University Way and Reecer Creek.

A man in his 40s with a slight beard reportedly threatened to shoot a person’s horse for no apparent reason on West Fork Teanaway Road.

A baggie containing a white substance reportedly was found at a self-checkout stand at a North Ruby Street business.

An assault was reported on West Umptanum Road.

There was a report of a crane with the potential to tip over on Guye Peak Lane at Snoqualmie Pass.

Three young males all wearing sweatshirts and jeans with skateboards reportedly were skating at an East University Way location. There were asked to leave and did not.

The traffic lights reportedly were off in all directions on East University Way and North Wildcat Way.

A hit and run was reported on North Main Street.

A man in his late 20s, about 6 feet tall with short hair and wearing a long black coat, back jeans and black shoes reportedly was walking around a parking lot trying door handles and stealing cigarette butts from outside ash trays on South Chestnut Street.

A red and while bull was reported in a driveway on Fairview Road.

An assault was reported on North Chestnut Street.

A two-vehicle collision was reported on East University Way and North Wildcat Way.

A bicycle was reported stolen on North Chestnut Street.

There was a report that a lock had been cut to a gate leading to a parking lot on the Rodeo grounds. It was possible that a trailer was stolen.

There was a report that a man in a vehicle in a parking lot on South Water Street had spent the past two hours watching employees take out the trash and the employees felt unsafe.

A parking pass was stolen from a vehicle sometime in the past two days on North Brook Lane.

An odor of marijuana was reported in a courtyard on East 11th Avenue.

A woman reported accidentally leaving her purse in a cart at a South Water Street business. When she went back five minutes later, it was gone. She was requesting to view security tapes but was told he’d need to first file a report.

A subject reportedly was observed riding a bike toward the backyard of an abandoned house on East Third Avenue.

A vehicle reportedly crashed into an embankment near the water tower on East Patrick Avenue and No. 81 Road.

A man reportedly was sleeping on the should of the road on West University Way and North Currier Street. He was advised to move off the road to sleep.

Fire

Kittcom received the following calls on Oct. 17-18 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

There was a report of a burning rubber smell, possibly behind a boiler, at a West 13th Avenue residence.

A smoke investigation was reported on Fairview Road.

Arrests

The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from Oct. 17-18 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

A 42-year-old Yakima woman was arrested by State Patrol troopers for failure to appear for reckless driving. Bail $3,000.

A 28-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence. No bail.

A 19-year-old Monterey, California man was arrested by Central Washington University Police officers for second-degree assault and minor consumption/possession of alcohol. No bail.

A 25-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputies for failure to appear for third-degree theft and failure to appear for third-degree driving with a suspended license. Bail $4,000.

A 26-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for failure to appear for third-degree theft. Bail $5,000.

A 23-year-old Yakima man was arrested by State Patrol troopers for driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No bail.

A 38-year-old Renton man was arrested by State Patrol troopers for driving with under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No bail.
