Police | Kittcom received the following calls on Oct. 5-7 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • A blue Subaru reportedly drove into a ditch on Canyon Road and Ringer Loop.
  • A person reportedly heard a crash, possibly in reverse, on North Brick Road.
  • A German shepherd and a tan pitbull reportedly were running on Badger Pocket Road toward Thrall Road.
  • A person reportedly released a raccoon from a trap and tampered with the trap on North Walnut Street.
  • A 1994 Honda Accord was reported stolen on East 18th Avenue.
  • Three pitbulls reportedly were running around on Lower Peoh Point Road.
  • A person reported a concern about a horse on state Route 821.
  • A hit and run was reported on North Ruby Street.
  • Several vehicle break-ins were reported on Spragger Way near Cle Elum. Items stolen included a jacket, sunglasses, headphones, purse and a wallet. The vehicles were unlocked.
  • Bicycle parts were reported stolen on East 10th Avenue.
  • An abandoned vehicle was reported running on North Alder Street. There were no keys in the vehicle.
  • Two subjects reportedly were throwing rocks at a man on West Second Street in Cle Elum.
  • A small dog was reported in the road on North Yakima Avenue in Cle Elum.
  • Five head of cattle reportedly went through a person’s yard on Badger Pocket Road.
  • A Nissan Maxima reportedly was rear-ended on East University Way.
  • A possible vehicle prowl was reported on South Canyon Road.
  • A burglary was reported on West Dry Creek Road.
  • A hit and run was reported on East University Way and North Wildcat Way.
  • A dog reportedly was outside a person’s car on Red Cedar Drive near Ronald. The dog was sniffing the car, not being aggressive. The person was afraid to get out of the car.
  • Two cows were reported on the curve of the roadway on Parke Creek Road.
  • A collision involving a semi was reported on Interstate 90, west bound, mile post 86.
  • At least three vehicles reportedly were broken into on Canyon Road.
  • A vehicle reportedly hit a building on First Avenue and Main Street.
  • An older bald man with a goatee driving a green Dodge truck reportedly brandished a pistol with laser sights on I-90, east bound, near Cle Elum.
  • A woman reported seeing a deer leaning against a fence on Sanders Road. She did not know if it was dead or alive. It was the largest deer she’d ever seen.
  • A theft was reported on Main Street.
  • A hit and run was reported on Maple Street.
  • A Chevy pickup reportedly slid off the roadway and hit a fence on Look Road.
  • A theft of $50 was reported on Second Street in Cle Elum.
  • A collision involving a vehicle and an elk was reported on Teanaway Road. The elk’s legs were broken.
  • There was a report that someone was trying to break in a front door on Coutney Court.
  • An injured deer dragging its leg was reported on No. 81 Road.
  • Four microphones were reported stolen on Suncadia Trail.
  • A dog reportedly was hit by a vehicle on Water Street.
  • There was a report that a man was trying to get water our of a fire hydrant on First Street in Cle Elum. It did not appear that the man was a member of the fire department.
  • A BMX Mongoose bicycle was reported stolen on 15th Avenue.
  • A phone was reported stolen on First Street.
  • There was a report of a man in green came pants, walking into traffic, dancing and acting strange on University Way.
  • A collision involving a Lincoln and an SUV was reported on I-90.
  • An 11th Avenue resident reported a hacker was blackmailing him and others.
  • A log splitter was reported stolen on 10th Avenue.
  • A Honda Accord was reported missing on Sprague Street.
  • A change jug reportedly was stolen from a church on Okanogan Street.
  • A hit and run was reported on First Street and Floral in Cle Elum.

Fire | Kittcom received the following calls on Oct. 5-7 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • An outside fire was reported on Interstate 90, east bound, mile post 83.
  • A chimney fire was reported on Canyon Heights Drive.
  • An outside fire was reported above Taneum Junction.
  • Fireworks were reported on Brown Road.
  • A golf cart battery reportedly was smoking on Saddle Ridge Loop.
  • An outside fire was reported on a hill near Pennsylvania Avenue.

Arrests | The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from Oct. 5-7 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

  • A 19-year-old Ellensburg woman was arrested by Cle Elum-Roslyn-South Cle Elum Police officers for failure to appear for third-degree malicious mischief. Bail $1,000.
  • A 61-year-old Easton man was arrested by the Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office for failure to appear for reckless endangerment and failure to appear for third-degree malicious mischief. Bail $5.100.
  • A 51-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for failure to appear for third-degree driving with a suspended license. Bail $2,500.
