Police | Kittcom received the following calls on Oct. 2-3 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • Subjects reportedly were camping around planter boxes on East Second Avenue.
  • A hit and run was reported on North Main Street.
  • A person reportedly has been holding a yard sale year-round for the past four years in Liberty.
  • Cattle were reported in the creek on Robbins Road.
  • A man reportedly left without paying his bill for approximately $500 on South Canyon Road.
  • Three dogs were reported inside an abandoned house on Manastash Road.
  • Gas for a lawn mower was reported stolen on West 10th Avenue.
  • A two-vehicle, non-injury collision was reported on East Capitol Avenue and South Chestnut Street.
  • A Central Washington University parking pass was reported stolen on North Alder Street.
  • Multiple horses were reported in the roadway on Canyon Road and Ringer Loop.
  • A Swiss Army knife was reported stolen on East Mountain View Avenue.
  • A dead kitten was reported in a backyard on West Fourth Street in Cle Elum.
  • There was a report of a man wearing a ski mask knocking on doors on East 11th Avenue.
  • A Gobblers Knob Road resident reported their dog was barking and pawing at the door. The resident went to open the door to let the dog out and a hand had the dog by the collar. The resident screamed to let go and the subject dropper the dog.
  • A subject dressed in black reportedly was operating a Genie lift on West First Avenue. The concern was the person could be stealing the lift since it had no lights on.
  • A two vehicle, non-injury collision was reported on East Fifth Avenue.
  • There was a report that all the street lights were out on a section of Wildcat Way.

Fire | Kittcom received the following calls on Oct. 2-3 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • Smoke was reported coming from a building on South Canyon Road.

Arrests | The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from Oct. 2-3 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

  • A 35-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by state Department of Fish and Wildlife officers for failure to appear for harassment. Bail $5,000.
  • A 26-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for resisting arrest (bail $500) and violation of community custody (no bail).
  • A 66-year-old Vantage man was arrested by Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputies for felony failure to register as a sex offender. No bail.
