Police | Kittcom received the following calls on Oct. 7-8 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • There was a report of a silver pickup half in the roadway with a smashed front windshield, no front bumper and taillights on, on East Sanders Road.
  • The temporary stop sign was reported down on West 14th Avenue.
  • Seven or eight cattle reportedly were in the roadway and the ditch on state Route 97 and Smithson Road.
  • There was a report of a syringe cap, razors and blood splatters on a sidewalk on North Ruby Street.
  • A Norco bicycle with a rack on the back and a blue milk crate was reported stolen on North Walnut Street.
  • A motorcycle was reported stolen in the Salmon la Sac area.
  • There was a report of two juveniles in a driveway possibly attempting to steal gasoline on Main Street in Thorp.
  • An empty wood crate and three pallets put together reportedly were blocking the roadway on West University Way.
  • A hit and run reportedly occurred over the Kittitas County Fair weekend.
  • A vehicle prowl was reported on Suncadia Trail.
  • A man in his 40s wearing a hat, a T-shirt and shorts was reported standing in the middle of the road with his bicycle on East First Avenue. There was debris around him and this concern was he’d been in a collision.
  • The stop sign was reported down at the intersection of Nanuem Road and Rader Road.
  • A two-vehicle, non-injury collision was reported on West Washington Avenue and South Pearl Street.
  • A hit and run was reported North Maple Street.
  • A calf was reported on the side of the roadway on Lyons Road.
  • A dark-colored German shepherd was reported loose on Lakeshore Way.

Fire | Kittcom received the following calls on Oct. 7-8 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • A semi car trailer carrying nine vehicles reportedly was on fire on Interstate 82, mile post 4.

Arrests | The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from Oct. 7-8 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

  • A 33-year-old Cle Elum man was arrested by Cle Elum-Roslyn-South Cle Elum Police officers for two counts of harassment and attempt to elude. No bail.
