The latest recipient of an Ellensburg Business Development Authority microloan is Tara Truax, owner of Always Quality Cleaning, who will use the funding to purchase additional equipment and undertake marketing that will allow her to expand her services, according to a news release from the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce.

“This loan is just fantastic and will help me to grow my business,” Truax said.

The microloans — small business loans available to qualified Ellensburg business owners — are a program of the Ellensburg Business Development Authority and administered by the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce. Microloans can range up to a maximum of $25,000

Jim Armstrong, CEO of the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce, said the loans have fairly strict qualification criteria and are usually in the $20,000 to $25,000 range.

The EBDA also provides business development programs and counseling, and offers reduced-rent space to qualified start-up businesses at the Ellensburg Business Incubator.

For more information about these and other business services contact Ron Cridlebaugh or Annie Agars at the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce, 925-2002.
