Starting off in high school, Jacob Reynolds developed his desire for bee keeping at a young age. Reynolds upkeeps around 100 beehives at any given time, with his bees travelling from Ellensburg to Kittitas to Toppenish, all the way to Wapato.

“I think it’s a fascinating and social thing to watch, it’s by far the craziest job I’ve had,” said Reynolds when asked about his original interest in beekeeping.

Last week was Central Valley Bees first week at market, and though they can be found at the downtown Yakima market, the Union Gap market, and the Sunnyside market, as well as the Ellensburg Farmers Market every Saturday.
