Pat McWoods

Whether you are looking for quilt boxes, wooden spoons, or just a good conversation, Pat McPhillips from McWoods is the man to talk to during Saturday market.

McWoods originally started as a small hobby and has grown to nearly four times its size since Pat joined the market in 2012, however, he assures me that McWoods will remain a hobby and something just fun for him to do.

Previously a letter carrier for the post office, Pat said woodworking and coming to markets with his products is as much a social hour for him as it is an opportunity to show his amazing craftsmanship.

“It’s amazing where the things I make go,” he said. “You are able to meet people from everywhere and socialize.”

Pat started McWoods with a limited number of tools and experience, saying that all anyone really needs to get started is a small table saw and some wood. All of Pat’s products are unique, and come with the promise of high quality.

Pat can be found at the Ellensburg Farmers Market and the Roslyn Farmers Market, be sure to swing on by and take a look next time you need any hand crafted woodwork.
