FISH’s second annual Jingle Turkey fundraising event will again feature the Central Washington University Men’s rugby team, according to a news release.

The men will be collecting cash donations for the FISH Food Bank in downtown Ellensburg from 5-7 p.m. Friday. The money collected will be used to buy turkeys for those in Kittitas County who need help to provide Thanksgiving dinner — usually those who are disabled, veterans, seniors, or families with children.

The men will be located throughout the downtown area ringing bells and manning the collection buckets while residents enjoy the First Friday Art Walk. Last year, with community support, FISH provided nearly 300 Thanksgiving turkeys to local families.

The CWU team is donating their time to support FISH’s efforts to provide a turkey to those in need. If you, or someone you know, needs a turkey this Thanksgiving, call FISH during business hours at 509-925-5990 or go online at KVFISH.org to find out more.
