Central Washington University President Jim Gaudino named Josh Hibbard as the university’s interim vice president of enrollment management, according to a news release.

Hibbard currently serves as CWU’s Associate Vice President for Admissions and Enrollment.

In his interim role, Hibbard, in collaboration with executive leadership, will implement the university’s recently-adopted strategic enrollment plan, which defines retention and recruitment activities, financial aid policies and administration, and enrollment programming. He will also oversee enrollment outreach as well as the Admissions, Student Financial Services, and the “Game On! Program.”

Hibbard’s duties at Central have included serving as the senior leader accountable for the institution’s new student recruitment. He provided leadership for the development and execution of marketing, recruitment, admission, and yield strategies for incoming students.

Prior to coming to Central in June 2017, Hibbard worked for nearly 13 years in a variety of roles in the student success and enrollment management areas at Azusa Pacific University in California, including as Associate Vice President for Enrollment and Student Success from 2016-17 and Director for Student Success from 2011-15.

Hibbard has a Ph.D. in philosophy and a Master’s in social science from Azusa Pacific University.
