CWU gift program

Central Washington University's annual Holiday Gift Project gift program begins on Nov. 4 and continues to Dec. 4.

Central Washington University is again hosting the Annual Holiday Gift Project, which provides a bit of holiday cheer to underprivileged children in the community, according to a news release from CWU.

The project offers participants an opportunity to make a heartfelt and personal gesture by providing a gift to child from his or her own wish list. For this year’s event to be successful, each child must be individually sponsored. Last year, the gift project collected gifts for more than 300 local children.

The gift program begins on Nov. 4 and continues to Dec. 4, which is when all gifts need to be delivered to the Office of the President at 314 Barge Hall on the CWU campus. Since some requests are “needs” as much as “wants,” participants are urged to choose both a practical gift as well as a fun one if possible.

The Holiday Gift Project supports CWU’s Early Childhood Education Center, Bright Beginnings/Head Start, and the Department of Children and Family Services. If you are unable to shop, monetary gifts will be accepted and will go toward filling the project needs.
