In a follow up email to Central Washington University employees, President Jim Gaudino clarified his previous statement about removing Katherine Frank from her Provost/vice president position with the university.

According to the email, Frank agreed to move into the position of Vice President for Academic Innovation, where she will help CWU “Prepare for the future and remain competitive in the marketplace.”

The position will include conducting research regarding academic innovation relevant to CWU priorities, aligned with future institutional growth plans, and responsive to the rapid changes within higher education.

Frank was removed from the provost position on Monday.
