The Hotel Windrow already has its nine managers in place, but the 59-room luxury hotel in downtown Ellensburg is expected to be hiring another 65 full and part-time employees when it hosts a job fair on Sept. 27-28 at the Elks building.

Co-owner Steve Townsend said they will be looking for 25 hotel personnel and 40 employees to staff the Basalt restaurant.

“We are providing what we believe are very competitive wages and providing employer-paid health care. Virtually no one else does that, so we believe we should be the employer of choice in the industry in this town,” Townsend said. “Right now we’re looking maybe 25 in the hotel and we’ll start out with maybe 40 in the restaurant, some of those positions will be part-time, especially in the restaurant.”

The Hotel Windrow is looking for anything from guest services, parking attendants to housekeepers and maintenance. In the Basalt, Townsend said, they need servers to bus and kitchen staff, along with a sous chef, bartenders and various other industry-related positions.

“By the time we’re fully staffed, we might add 10 to 12 more, but right now we’ll get started,” Townsend said. “Most of these positions will be full-time, but several will be part-time.”

The job fair will be held from noon to 7 p.m. on Sept. 27 and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 28.
