Police | Kittcom received the following calls on July 15-16 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • A bull reportedly was out on in the ditch on the east side of Naneum Road.
  • Bike storage had reportedly been broken into sometime in the last week on Vantage Highway.
  • A small dog in a kennel reportedly had been whining since Friday on Millstone Loop.
  • A man reportedly was acting erratic and spilling his pop before he left in a Honda on North Ruby Street.
  • There was a report that a man dressed all in black broke into a Kia Soel on South Canyon Road.
  • There was a report of a small dog shaking in the back of a Honda pickup on North Ruby Street.
  • A man with small braids reportedly was dancing on the light pole on Canyon Road. The reporting party believed the man could be under the influence of drugs.
  • There was a report of damage to coal cars over the past two days at the Roslyn Museum.
  • A theft was reported on North Chestnut Street.
  • There was a report of an ongoing problem with 14 dogs barking on Grinrod Road.
  • Two deceased cows were reported on the east side of the road on state Route 97, mile post 140.
  • One dark-colored pitiful and one terrier reportedly were running loose on Berry Road.
  • Money was reported missing on Hanson Road.
  • An unknown subject reportedly dumped a large amount of produce in the ag tunnel between Denmark Road and Fairview Road.
  • A man with brown hair reportedly was getting high in the bathroom and then left on a blue bike on North Walnut Street.
  • There was a report that a dog locked n a green station wagon had been barking uncontrollably for two owners. The dog’s owner reported went to the dog, opened the door, struck the dog and then went back in the residence leaving the dog in the vehicle on South Pine Street.
  • A large black bear reportedly was rifling through trash cans on Evergreen Valley Loop.
  • There was a report of people setting off fireworks on East Country Side Avenue.
  • There was a report that a man has been sleep walking the past few nights on East Second Street in Cle Elum.

Fire | Kittcom received the following calls on July 15-16 (calls are made to the 911 line and the non-emergency business line):

  • There was a report that a truck pulling a camp trailer had a fire near its rear axel on West First Street. The truck and trailer were parked next to gas pumps.
  • A smoke investigation was reported East First Street.

Arrests | The following people were booked in Kittitas County Jail from July 15-16 (Bail and arresting agency information not available for all bookings):

  • A 29-year-old Ellensburg woman was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for violation of anti-harassment order. Bail $500.
  • A 20-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested by Ellensburg Police officers for second-degree criminal trespass. Bail $500.
