The Kittitas Valley League of Women Voters is hosting two candidate forums in July, one in the Cle Elum and one in Ellensburg, according to a news release.

The league is hosting an Upper County candidate forum from 7 to 9 p.m. July 10 at the Putnam Centennial Center in Cle Elum. The forum will feature the two Upper County races that will have a primary — Roslyn Mayor and Water District 7.

The league and the Ellensburg Public Library will host a primary Lower County Candidate Forum from 7-9 p.m., July 23 for candidates running for Kittitas County Commissioner. The forum will take place in the Ellensburg City Council Chambers and is free and open to the public.

Confirmed candidates include Nancy Lillquist, Laci Harrison and Cory Wright. Lower County races that will not appear on the primary ballot were not invited.

Each candidate will give a short introduction and will respond to questions submitted by the League and audience members. Charli Sorenson will be the moderator. This Candidate Forum will be videotaped and live-streamed over ECTV. This event is free and is co-sponsored by the Ellensburg Public Library. The league does not endorse or oppose any candidate or political party.
