To the Editor:

I want to urge our representatives to defend net neutrality. As someone who has grown up with the internet, it is something that is a part of my daily life. I use it to shop, talk with my family and friends, to conduct business, and for recreation.

Keeping the internet open would help others like me to keep in touch with things that are important to them. I also believe that cutting away equal access would harm those who run smaller businesses online. It should not be up to a business to decide what content I’m allowed to consume.

I may not be an eloquent writer, but I’ve worked in enough libraries to know that everyone deserves to have equal access to information and resources. I ask our representatives, Rep. Reichert, Sen. Cantwell, and Sen. Murray, to fight against an internet run by profits instead of protections.
