Over the Oct. 4 weekend, 17 volunteer Realtor Brokers from John L. Scott and their families improved the environment of some of the county’s four-footed residents along with that of the hard-working staff and volunteers of the Ellensburg Animal Shelter.

Volunteers gave the shelter’s interior dog kennels a long-overdue new coat of paint. Partnering with Knudson Lumber, which provided a new Rodda epoxy paint made especially for high use areas, the John L. Scott team replaced a multi-hued paint scheme painted in 2007 with a bright, gleaming and dog-proof facility for the care of Ellensburg’s strays and lost pets.

Even throughout the many hours of labor, the volunteers enjoyed a day full of meaningful connections, music and furry friends. Consistent volunteers, grain-free dog and cat food, and other donations upon request are always appreciated.
