Ellensburg summer baseball in Omaha

Head coach Todd Gibson and a few of the players from the Ellensburg summer baseball team took a trip to Omaha, Nebraska for the College World Series last week.

The Ellensburg summer baseball team played in Wenatchee over the weekend.

It went 2-2 bringing its season record to 8-5. Friday, Ellensburg lost 8-3 to Methow Valley. Saturday, it beat North Seattle 9-7, but lost to Prospects United 15-4. Then on Sunday, Ellensburg beat West Valley Yakima 4-2.

Before some of the team left for Omaha, Nebraska to attend the College World Series, Ellensburg swept Royal City and Columbia Gorge River Bandits in both doubleheaders at home, two of them by the 10-run rule.

Ellensburg plays Cascade Leavenworth this Wednesday and at White Salmon Thursday. It finishes the season at home next Saturday versus Wenatchee.
