Members of the Ellensburg volleyball team pose for a photo after completing their litter walk last Thursday.

After doing some offseason workouts, about 20 members of the Ellensburg High School volleyball team took to the streets to help pick up litter between Valley View Elementary School and Mountain View Park.

The idea for community service came from Ellensburg’s fitness captains, who met up with head coach Jesse Stueckle to discuss ways they could help the community.

The team spent two hours of their morning last Thursday dedicated to a litter walk, trying to help keep the neighborhoods and streets in the area clean of debris.
