Ellensburg baseball wins 10-0 in six innings

After taking a 4-3 loss to White River on Monday, the Ellensburg High School baseball team turned it around with a league triumph over Prosser.

EHS was originally suppose to play in Prosser on Tuesday, but it was rescheduled to be at Rotary Park.


Damon McLaughlin 1-for-2, two runs, double; Jadon Bugni 2-for-3, three runs, two RBI; Tyler Polacek 1-for-2, two-run triple; Dillon Young 2-for-3, home run, two runs, RBI.

Hunter Gibson pitched four innings, no runs, one hit, two walks, three strikeouts.

EHS (12-5, 9-2 CWAC) will play at Quincy this Saturday starting at 11 a.m.

Kittitas softball drubs White Swan

The Kittitas High School softball team double header lasted a combined six innings on Tuesday. The Coyotes took wins of 19-0 and 15-0, both ending in just three innings.

Game 1 highlights: Lainey Allemand 2-for-3, two runs, two RBI, two stolen bases; Payton Hyatt 3-for-3, three RBI, two runs; Grace Allphin 2-for-3, two runs; Tory Coats 2-for-3, three runs, RBI; Jazzy Pryor 2-for-3m two runs, RBI

Game 2 highlights: Hyatt 2-for-3, three runs, three RBI (three-run home run); Madigan Webster 2-for-2, two runs, RBI, two stolen bases; Allphin 1-for-2, two runs, two stolen bases; Pryor 1-for-2, two runs.

Kittitas (11-3, 11-1 EWAC) will host a double header versus DeSales this Friday starting at 1 p.m.

EHS softball pummels Toppenish

The Ellensburg High School softball team defeated Toppenish 23-1 on Tuesday. It scored five runs in the first inning, and ensued to score 10 more in the second.

Highlights: McKnenzie Egan 2-for-4, two RBI; Larissa Synder 2-for-4, five RBI; Victoria Zimmerman 2-for-2, four runs, RBI; Lacey Bucholtz 1-for-3, home run, three RBI.

EHS (6-8, 4-4 CWAC) will host West Valley (Yakima) this Thursday at 4 p.m.

EHS soccer post season hopes stay alive

The Ellensburg High School soccer team (7-6, 4-4 CWAC) traveled to Wapato on Tuesday and won 4-1. If Ellensburg can defeat Quincy (7-5, 5-3 CWAC) Thursday starting at 4 p.m., it will lock up the final spot for league playoffs.

Tizoc Barbosa scored twice and Ryan Stinson and Joahan Baldovinos each had one goal.

Cle Elum-Roslyn softball sweeps double header

The Cle Elum-Roslyn High School softball team defeated Zillah 16-4 and 10-8, on Tuesday.

Game 1 highlights:

Marissa Nass with three hits, Katelyn Nass with two along with two RBI. Ariana Lombardi had two hits and drove in four runs.

KeMesha Howard pitched five innings and struck out seven batters.

Game 2 highlights:

Katelyn Nass and Lombardi with two hits each.

Marissa Nass tossed five innings and struck out eight.

The Warriors will host Cascade (Leavenworth) this Thursday at 4 p.m.

Cle Elum-Roslyn baseball defeats Goldendale

The Cle Elum-Roslyn High School baseball team bats were torrid in the Warriors’ 16-3 triumph on Tuesday.


Keenan Everaert had two hits and three RBI. Joey Moen record two hits along with two RBI. Griffin Bator tallied three RBI.

Abe Shouse pitched five innings and struck out four.

The Warriors will host Naches Valley at 4 p.m. today.
