Kittitas volleyball defeats Waterville in straight sets (25-15, 25-7, 25-20)

Kittitas played in a cross over game in Wenatchee on Thursday and with the 3-0 win, it advanced them to the state tournament for the fifth straight season.

Kittitas served at a 93 percent clip and a hitting percentage of .290.

Taylor DeKoning led the team with 14 kills, and Tory Coates notched a team-leading 36 assists. Courtney Coates tallied six aces along with 12 kills. Allison McCune had six aces on a team high 19 attempts.

Cle Elum-Roslyn soccer wins in a thriller

In a win or go home matchup with Highland, the Warriors advanced to 1A state in a penalty shootout, 2-1.

The Warriors trailed 1-0 in the final minute but Grace Terrill’s goal forced the game into overtime.

After both teams went scoreless in the two five minute halves, they went into PKs.

Cle Elum-Roslyn made 3-of-4 and held on for the win.

Meadow Stone made six saves, two coming in PKs.
