Brock Ravet eclipses 2,000 points against WWVA

WALLA WALLA — Kittitas High School junior Brock Ravet scored his 2,000th point after the Coyotes took down Walla Walla Valley Academy 99-37 on Saturday night.

Ravet also scored a new career-high 55 points that included 15 3-pointers to break the Yakima Valley single-game record shared by shared by Zillah’s Dick Waldman (1972), Easton’s Bobby Bradford (1982) and Naches Valley’s Ron Deaton (1983).

Kittitas finished the regular season 14-0 in the Eastern Washington Athletic Conference and 19-1 overall.

Next up will be the a District 5/6 quarterfinal game as the South’s No. 1 seed on Saturday at Granger.

Kittitas girls basketball loses to Walla Walla Valley

WALLA WALLA — The Kittitas High School girls basketball team lost to Walla Walla Valley Academy on the road Saturday night, 45-38.

Junior Piper Williams finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds while Payton Hyatt had five points and seven rebounds.

Kittitas enters the District 5/6 Tournament as the South’s No. 5 seed and will play the North’s No. 5 seed on Friday at Granger.

Cle Elum-Roslyn girls basketball defeats Goldendale

GOLDENDALE — The Cle Elum-Roslyn High School girls basketball team defeated Goldendale High School on the road Saturday night, 75-26.

The Warriors were led by senior Melli Rodriguez’s 16 points while sophomore Grace Terrill had 15 points and Anna Kelly added 14.

Cle Elum-Roslyn received the SCAC West No. 3 seed and will open the district tournament on Thursday against Connell.

Cle Elum-Roslyn boys basketball loses to Goldendale

GOLDENDALE — The Cle Elum-Roslyn High School boys basketball team lost to Goldendale on the road Saturday night 59-55.

Senior Tyler Anderson finished with 17 points.

The Warriors finished the season 2-17 and 2-10 in the SCAC and will return next season.

Ellensburg wrestling finishes 7th at Districts

The Ellensburg High School boys wrestling team finished seventh in the District 5/6 Wrestling Championships on Saturday night.

Senior Cade Stevenson won the 182-pound division by defeating Quincy’s Ray Robinson 16-4.

Other notable finishes included freshman Lorenzo Gonzalez finished third in the 160-pound division, sophomore Henry Rinehart finished third in the 170-pound division, sophomore Tyge Taylor finishing fourth in the 195-pound division and senior Ryker Freeman finished fifth in the 126-pound division.

Ellensburg boys basketball loses to Wapato

WAPATO — The Ellensburg High School boys basketball team lost to Wapato on the road Friday night, 64-62.

Bulldogs’ senior Anders Ott finished with a team-high 26 points while Steele Venters also chipped in with 17 points.

Ellensburg finished the regular season as the No. 4 seed for the CWAC Tournament and will face the winner of Ephrata and Othello on Wednesday.

Ellensburg girls basketball loses to Wapato

WAPATO — The Ellensburg High School girls basketball team lost to Wapato on the road Friday night, 52-35.

The Bulldogs were led by Brinley Hagemeier and Payton Lyyski with eight points a piece.

Ellensburg finished the regular season as the No. 8 seed in the CWAC Tournament and will travel to No. 5 Ephrata on Tuesday.

Cle Elum-Roslyn boys basketball loses to La Salle

CLE ELUM — The Cle Elum-Roslyn High School boys basketball team lost to La Salle on Friday night, 58-52.

Senior Evan Pugh finished with 19 points while Dylan Pugh had 14 points.

CLE ELUM — The Cle Elum-Roslyn High School girls basketball team lost to La Salle on Friday night 48-35.

Senior Anna Kelly led the Warriors with 14 points.

Kittitas girls basketball loses to Tri-Cities Prep

KITTITAS — The Kittitas High School girls basketball team lost to Tri-Cities Prep at home on Friday night, 68-49.

The Coyotes were led by Piper Williams’s 32 points, 18 rebounds and four blocks.
