The Eastern Washington University men’s basketball team is scheduled to face No. 1-seeded Oklahoma State in the 2023 National Invitation Tournament’s second round Sunday at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, according to an EWU news release.
The Eagles advanced to the NIT second round for the first time after Steele Venters, a 6-foot, 7-inch sophomore guard/forward from Ellensburg, led the way with 27 points including the game-winning 3-pointer with 16 seconds left.
The game is scheduled to air at 11 a.m. on ESPN2 and at 700 AM ESPN and 105.3 FM in Spokane/Cheney.
Eastern Washington (23-10 overall) finished defeated Washington State 81-74 in the first round Tuesday in Pullman — their second-ever postseason win — while Oklahoma State (19-15) survived Youngstown State 69-64 on Wednesday in Stillwater.
