Easter weekend is approaching and eager egg hunters are gearing up for hunts all over Kittitas County. Here’s a list of where to get your hands on those little oblong treasure chests. (If you see a hunt that wasn’t included, email newsroom@kvnews.com with the details).

Dog Biscuit hunt

What: The Ellensburg annual dog biscuit hunt

Where: Rotary Park dog park

When: 6 p.m. Friday

Details: All dogs must be on and remain on a leash at all times. A handler 16 years of age or older must accompany all participants.

Cost: Free

Flashlight hunt

What: Ellensburg Flashlight Egg Hunt

Where: Rotary Park Softball Field area

When: 8 p.m. Friday

Details: When the park gets dark, find eggs, candy and prizes. Be sure to bring your own flashlight and Easter basket. This event is for ages 12 and under. There will be three different areas, one for ages 3-4, ages 5-8 and ages 9-12.

Resonate Church

What: Resonate Church Easter Egg Hunt

When: 11:30 a.m. Saturday

Where: Veterans Memorial Park 700 N. Poplar St., Ellensburg

Details: Easter Egg Hunt in the heart of Ellensburg. Bring kids birth to 8 years old. More than 500 eggs, face painting and fun.

Cost: Free

Cle Elum flashlight

What: Seventh annual Cle Elum Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt

When: Event entry starts at 7 p.m. Saturday, hunt is at dark

Where: Cle Elum-Roslyn Elementary and Middle School softball fields

Details: Egg hunt for the big kids, ages 12 and up. Bring a flashlight and bags. Big prizes include one week accommodations in Mexico. All prizes must be claimed on the night of the hunt. In addition to the egg hunt, there will be a balloon pop, with $10 per balloon with a chance to win a tablet. Proceeds go to benefit the Cle Elum-Roslyn High School Class of 2018.

Cost: Egg hunt is $15 per person. Tickets are available at Intermountain Radio Shack or at the door.

Cle Elum Fire department hunt

What: Annual Cle Elum Fire Department Easter egg hunt

When: 11 a.m. Saturday

Where: Cle Elum Fireman’s Park on Grant Street behind the baseball fields.

Details: Free prizes, food and more. There will be food for sale including hot dogs, pop, water and coffee. All proceeds go to the Cle Elum Fire Department Association. Hunt for ages 10 and under.

Cost: Free

Kittitas community egg hunt

What: Community Easter egg hunt in Kittitas

When: 11 a.m. Saturday

Where: Kittitas Elementary School, back ballfields off Okanogan Street

Details: Three age groups (0-3, 4-7, 8-11). Barbecue, crafts and face painting to follow. Sponsored by New Life Assembly and city of Kittitas.

Cost: Free

Thorp hunt

What: Kittitas County Fire District 1 Easter Egg Hunt

When: 10-11 a.m. Saturday

Where: Kittitas County Fire District 1, 10700 N. Thorp Highway, Thorp

Details: Ages 12 and under with three separate age groups. About 70 dozen plastic eggs with candy and other prizes.

Cost: Free

Easter brunch and egg hunt

What: Canyon River Ranch Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt

When: 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday

Where: Canyon River Ranch, 14700 Canyon Road, Ellensburg

Details: Activities include cookie decorating, Easter crafts, face painting, an Easter basket raffle and the annual Easter Egg hunt at noon. For more information visit canyonriver.net/reservations or call The Grill at 509-933-2309 for brunch reservations.

Cost: Activities are included with brunch tickets, or $5 per child.

Suncadia egg hunt

What: Suncadia Easter Egg-stravaganza

When: 11 a.m. Sunday

Where: The Inn at Suncadia, 3320 Suncadia Trail, Cle Elum

Details: Four separate age groups (0-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12). Pre-register online and bring your tickets to check-in at The Inn. The egg hunt age groups will assemble in the lobby and the hunt will begin promptly at 11 a.m. Bring your own Easter Basket, or purchase one. Party afterward will include face painting, photos with Sunny the Bunny, crafts, Easter egg dying, and more. These activities are included in the ticket price.
